Can TM meditation be learned at home?
Or do you need to go to a seminar to get that mantra?

I haven't learned TM, but did look into it on you tube and surfed the net .
I read a book on said tm..the cost looked pretty high to get taught.
you tube does have some info and you can google the transcendental meditation mantras
Other than that I cant help you.

For every type of meditation u only need to be focused and tenacious

Well TM uses mantra too which definitely has meaning. |

I'm sure TM, transcendental meditation, uses sounds which have no literal meaning.
In the practice of TM, it is important that the Mantra (word) used is not associated with any meaning. The reason for this is that the meaning of any word will keep the mind held up only on the conceptual or intellectual level of the word and will not allow the mind to transcend to its own infinite source... See there are different opinions of different sages or wise persons or saints in regard of Mantra.
for example Mantra Om (Aum) is primordial Mantra addressing to God or the deities you worship. This way too Mantra Om will take you to transcendental state. easily coz Mantra Om is addressing to God (calling God) and its vibration has 4 states 1) Active mind wake state where consciousness is gross, 2) Dream state mind active unconscious mind, 3) Latent mind slept state without dream in subconscious state or causal state., 4) Turiya state of super consciousness.
Even if you don't meditate Mantra Om addressing to God, its 4 states does not perish, you will get transcendental state coz you are meditating with word.
