advice needed please

Ive just bought my 1st stones/crystals
obsidian, selenite stick and black tourmaline but im not sure how to best care for them and do i just actually place them where i feel is best at the time ?
are they all ok to be laid out together ?
and advice would be appreciated

Hi :)

Michael Geinger has a nice little book "Purifying Crystals - How to clear, charge and purify your healing crystals", perhaps a local book shop may have a copy to flick through.

Selenite is the one that you have to be careful with, as it will dissolve in water. Check out some of the recent threads here, like the charging one. This is a nice site for information too.

Trust your intuition when working with/placing them.

Yes, go with your instinct but make sure you cleanse them first. I'm not clear if there is a right or wrong way.

I do sense - you can ignore this - you have bought some intense stones and a little rose quartz or something like and easy might not be a bad idea?

Thanks guys for replies i was adviced to buy these stones mainly for some protection thats why i want to be sure im doing the right thing , ill certainly look into the book and also lighter stones too

What happens with crystals and stones is that they I feel choose us we do not choose them. We are called to what we need when we listen.

I was in the Dollar Store and I say this simple "Zen Garden" its basically a sandbox. It came with a rake and some stones. I thought ok interesting brought it home and thought nothing more of it for a time. Then I found it again and I put it in the laundry room window. I put some of my stones in it. What I have found is that it feels good sending out energy from there. Its a window I can see with the door open from where I sit, so too I feel that energy was coming in there too.

It too have noted that me kids at times go in there and rake the sand and move the stones around. So for some reason something that cost a dollar choose me. It feels good. Simple idea for the stones.

As others said Selenite dissolves in water so don't cleanse it in water. Judy Hall suggests cleansing it in brown rice. It doesn't say whether it's cooked or not though which I am sure is an important factor. The rest can be cleansed in water and charged in the sun/moon light. I would google each of them seperately and see what works best with them, some are better in the Sun, some in the Moon, and some like Moldavite charge best in meteor showers. Some you want to charge on a charged Amethyst cluster/geode or another type of cluster/geode.
