What do you do when you get a new crystal?

Thanks to this thread, I figured out how to get some extremely unhappy energies out of my pendant that I wear all the time. I've posted in other threads about battling depression (via both metaphysical and medical means -- hooray for the multi-pronged attack!). Some offline things happened last week that set me off on what was, to vastly understate the issue, the worst flare of those symptoms that I have had in several years. I had a few really, stupendously bad days.

Well, as much as I like having my clear quartz sphere pick up on my energies, THOSE were some energies I wanted gone ASAP. I'm not going to walk around with the energetic equivalent of poison ivy hanging around in my energy field. And, as good fortune would have it, what should I see in this forum but this thread about cleansing stones.

First I did the breath method of clearing the stone, which I described above. In this case, the intention that was carried on the breath was "Remove all traces of that depressive episode." Then I used the energy chime to seal the deal. WOW. What a pleasant difference.

I did the same for my diamond ring, another stone that never leaves me. The diamond is a bit more resistant to picking up that kind of energy, but I gave it a treatment anyway. Those dreadful emotional energies really had to go, and the sooner, the better.

I even used breath to clean out the wee little diamonds in a bracelet I wear. They're very small, but they're crystals and I wanted to make double- and triple-sure that I'm not carrying any trace of those unwanted vibrations from a really dreadful few days.

Goodbye and good riddance to bad energies. Bring on the light, uplifting, healing sorts of energies, and send the nasty, corrosive, self-destructive energies packing. I feel much better now in all respects. Mind you, the offline issue that triggered all these things is still an issue. It still exists. But I'm in a far, far better frame of mind to deal with it all. And that is what I count as progress.
