Spirit Banishing herbs and House Guardians

Do house guardians qualify as spirits?

I had bought some asafoetida and other things to use for banishings, but it says that they get rd of all spirits, not just negative ones.

Does that mean I will chase away my house guardians with it?

I was once journaling about something on my phone, and what I was writing and the word bar related the words asafoetida, guaudians, and Monday together, so I thought they wanted some, and I put it on their altar and left it there. What exactly does this mean?

Can I focus on specifically what I want to banish and have it work like that?

Or if I ask my house guardians to step outside while I burn it or use it, can I do that too?

I don't know for sure but I think that asafoetida may get rid of all spirits. I'll try to find out for sure.

Frankincense incense clears lower siritual entities and negative ones but does not affect positive spirits.

If you explain to your house guardian that you're going to be doing a cleansing but you don't want it/them to leave that should help I think.

I do have some frankincense oil, but I don't want to get anymore in the future, because I hear the tree is being driven to extinction. Would myrrh do the same?

I'll certainly talk to them about it. And if the stuff is really that distasteful to them, it seems it might not be so bad for them to step outside. Hell, they can help keep whatever is expelled from coming back in.
