Black cat shenanigans
Hi all
New here :).
I have an odd thing that recently happened to put out there for general idess really...
I'm a spiritualist, my mum is not. She had this incident halen a few days ago. She was at home in a 2 storey block of flats with 2 maglicked doors and no cats.
She was watching TV in afternoon and she could hear a cat constantly meowing outside in the block hallway. She went to see, opened front door stepped out and saw a black longhaired cat with golden eyes. The cat stopped meowing, walked to her then walked round her exactly twice, not rubbing, and then stepped away, made no attempt to enter her fat. She went to close the door in fear a stray would enter her flat but when she turned back to the cat, it had gone. Stunned from this, she didn't go to investigate but returned inside her flat. Moment later she saw the same cat walking up garden path outside away from the block casually.
My mum felt a sense of sadness and dread afterwards. Like the cat, seemingly appearing from nowhere, who got into the block somehow, specifically went up two flights of stairs past other flats to sit purposefully outside her flat and called out to her, to then walked round her exactly twice, then left like "my job's done off I go". She thinks the cat was like a " ghost cat", like it was sent to her direct to give her a message about something by "walking round her twice" and not even rub itself against her.
Facts known, no cats in block, at time both outside doors were closed but I couldn't rule out one of them was held open. And it's documented through various beliefs that black cats are linked with various reasons.
It's all a bit odd, bizzare, and I don't know quite what to make of it.... Any ideas? Suggestions?
Thank you in advance for your time and thoughts.
Yours in love and light
Gareth

In keeping with your story, my two thoughts. Historically speaking, the black cat thing is racist and sexist and a superstition (as most of that stuff was back then), and I wouldn't give it creedence for those three reasons. Also, I have often wondered if college students post on here with purposely wild and detailed stories, and then ask for general feedback as part of their research for the paper they're writing on "New Agers And Their Beliefs."
Welcome to the forum, Gareth! That's a fab knight's name BTW, very fitting given we're talking Dark and Middle Age beliefs.

Hey there thanks for your.....comment shall we say. Maybe I should have added to the post 'oh btw I'm no student writing some stuff about stuff" lol I'm 40. And I'm certainly not talking about some dark middle age stuff, just sharing a very bizzare thing that I have ever heard. Seen sum yeah, but not heard. Maybe I got you wrong... Sorry. Lol but thx for the nod to the Knights of the round...Guerrehet, or beaumain some say. Love king Arthur mythology, true king of england. Would blow your mind too 2 know my surname is native to Cornwall, king Arthur land. :)

Ha-ha, great reply. Very cool details there, nice. Yes, one has to understand Dark Age superstitions are mired in racist, sexist, paterarchial and/or fear-based belief-nonsense.
Now, as for animals seemingly appearing and disappearing... supersensible events happen all the time. Knowledge is understanding that supersensible happenings are quite real and can be investiged on a soul-spirit level. Which is an entirely different thing than belief in idle, mundane superstition. The cat for example could be any color and it could still be a supersensible happening. Meaning, the fact it is a black cat specifically does not portend an evil omen or some such thing.
It's the same thing as the difference between using astrology as a love-and-fame fortune-telling device (superstition), verses using it for birth chart purposes to work out planetary influences (soul-spirit knowledge).

Black cat could indicate your mother's relationship to such beliefs. The human mind-soul conjures up what it needs to see and experience, in order to learn. The idea here is that we create our illusions. And that most of our ghosts and phantoms come from within, and are not in fact spirit creatures from another dimension.

Trying to offer some more clarity: Anyone who tells you "Black cat means this" and "Yellow eyes mean that", is approachig this from that mundane fortune-telling place of thinking.
Rather, these events happened to your mother. The question then is what do these events and their circumstances, mean to her specifically? How do they relate to her current life situation and/or resonant in her inner life? That's what an authentic spiritual investigation is all about, and it's how the individual seeker approaches these things.

Hey baile, indeed you have hit the nail, indeed her view is it's a black cat and golden eyes and yes they are associated to all kinds of superstitions, whilst she was telling me all what happen on phone, questions I was thinking was.... Why. Every question why, not how or would, but why. ... Why was it a black cat, why walk round twice, why did the cat go to the block, why did it go to her floor, why did it meow so specifically, looking at the cause and effect I now know the questions I need to continue asking my guides and put it out there on the Comos and see what I get back . I jus need to keep asking and keep seeking :)

I have cats and one of them is black. She is the most connected to what is invisible to me. I found out the weird way, through a mystical experience, that she is a messenger for Ba'ast, an Egyptian Deity associated with cats. So, when my black cat pesters me more than what is normal for her, I take it to mean that Ba'ast has something to tell me.
The thought of cats acting as messengers never crossed my mind until I had that one experience. I'm not a superstitious person either.
