Anyone can call themselves a taoist, but very few will be taoists.
A taoist is able to differentiate between acting out a part, and being the part one was acting out.
Westerners are seriously handicapped when it comes to this.
But sometimes not terminally so.
Thus welcome to the wonderful world of not-trying to become what one always was but never realized one was.
