To channel beings' experience of these realities, we must be in close body-mind-spirit alignment which facilitates us to interpret them clearly and in alignment with our Spirit truth.

If you choose to continue with the consciousness you are employing for this now, of course you can live that way, however, if you want to change your experience, you'd need to step into a new way of consciousness.

It is the same as wondering why the earth is flat, and how that could be possible, because of not realizing that it is round.

As for seemingly conflicting accounts of the afterlife, my perspective is that they are compatible; it is only the seeming aspects of disparity which are false. For example, seeing Earth-based realities as an illusion. While many progress to finer vibrations and energy states, this leaves Earth-based manifestations of reality perfectly valid as well. Whatever experience is created through consciousness is as real as any other, whatever vibration they have.

Rather than weeding through falsity and truth, I suggest exploring deeper and deeper into and through what IS true, to *You*!

What IS true is what exists, for you. If there is anything to not exist, it is what is false. So spending a life in truth, rather than straddling the two, will be far more effective.

The more true your truth becomes, the more it will coincide with other true perspectives. The disparities dissolve away.

If someone lives what I may see as a falsehood, it can still be in a way a truth for them, as they are creating life based around that, and it manifests. Though they may be unaware of a holistic view of what is happening, and the possibilities to change that, as it is said, "for them," it is true.

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but someone may know, about a year back I read a book on spiritualism but cannot recall the authors name, now she mentioned that when we reincarnate from the afterlife we have one of seven main goals in mind (or maybe a mixture) for that next particular life, now I was trying to think what she said they way, I know two were relationships and health but cannot think of the other five (one of them may have been money though)

At the moment I'm getting into what Sparrow has told us about how are spirit is like up there in the spirit world and we can get some kind of healing from just becoming aware of this

Dont listen to a word of Sylvia Browne!

Sylvia browne is a terrible example; she has been thoroughly outed as an out & out fraud. No ifs and buts. Its because of people like her (and Colin Fry) that I find it hard to accept any mediumship as credible even though I know that all people are not scammers. I think though probably 99% are and there might, MIGHT be a 1% with "something"

Just do a google search on Sylvia Browne.

If that was Randi's so called outing then I for one do not trust him, I mean he is a magician so could easily trick us, he can make money from the publicity.

Even trying to prove something we actally know is genuine would be hard under the arranged conditions, I mean could you imagine a hunter or specialised fisherman trying the tests? With spiritualism it would be a lot harder any negativity would impede the results.

I am not saying some are not frauds but I would rather trust tried and tested mediums to point them out...have they done?

Apparently she was heard admitting to her son that it was all fraud and the public were suckers for believing it. She has caused a lot of heartache for people when you look into it with false and really damaging readings.
Colin Fry is the same, caught out holding a spirit trumpet. Really damaging cases that are not open to interpretation. Im on the fence with John Edwards, I still think he fishes a lot regardless.

Having read quite a lot of spiritualist books, I have come across those who have been tempted to cheat when things are not happening and those who have occasionally used fillers, I mean if you are expected to perform constantly at an high level it can be tempting for some. So even cheating does not automatically equate to fraud, although when attending spiritualist churches I have come across one person who appears to constantly get it wrong but carries on as if he wants to learn the ropes in order to fool people, but why I ask there isn't much if any money in it unless you really succesful, my hunch about this character was he was out to try and impress the ladies, but making a complete and constant fool of himself

I agree about Sylvia Browne. Didn't like her books at all. And I agree that most mediums probably try to fill holes, but I whole heartedly believe that there are genuine ones too.

That is so true Justin.

(for metal68)......
We have to go half way at least, to meet them. Even the simplest love and loyalty can open a pathway to contacting a loved one.
In which case our communications may be more of an empathetic 'feeling' nature than receiving any words or information in that sense. But such a contact will be definite and undeniable when it happens.
Allow great stillness of mind, then focus upon love, and upon that 'deceased one's' character and likeness. Do it lightly and with the greatest respect and gratitude, and let your heart flow over -then send it out.
Even such a simple lovely thing can align your own Soul with greater realities. It is likely a response will come. Be open to its call inside your heart, and know that when you sense it, it is true and a blessing.
