That's not the RS Bogus Top 100 Guitarists List, is it ?.
This morning had me gagging on rowdy psychedelic rock, that being all wrong energetically, switching to some mellow thing with a Buddhist chant as the lyrics, that working but only for a while, then finally giving up and playing some acoustic guitar , my music.

Today was right back into psych guitar , studying various versions of 'Are You Experienced'

It is - which is already garnering criticism:

I SO agree there is no way Clapton gets 2nd - especially over Jimmy Page. My fave Brian May wasn't even close to the top 10! >_<

I think EC is great.... but Hendrix dismembered him in 1967 , left him in pieces by the roadside. I saw the list last year, and can't really take it seriously again. My tastes are my tastes , and there are at least a thousand 'greatest guitarists ever' , just as good as anybody on the list, walking around in obscurity. My favorite, Bill Nelson, wouldn't sniff one of those silly lists because he does his own thing and thumbs his nose at
making music for mass consumption, so the industry ignores him . Just the way the world is : what's good art and what sells a lot are often very different things. Who makes 'best 100' lists and who makes the 'best' music
is the same deal.
