If atoms of the material world are just vortices or waves in the aether, is this true about the spirit world, too?

As a social scientist I am more intrigued in the social construction of the idea of Twin Flames - something many have talked about on this thread and elsewhere on the forums. I am also not going to pretend for one second I understand anything about Quantum Entanglement, Physics or whatever (wish I did though!).

However, from personal spiritual experience, I have wondered for a long time (on and off) whether the connection I feel towards this particular person is as a result of somehow being able to 'tap into' another reality. That I am somehow receptive to the thoughts and feelings of my-self-occupying-another-reality that translates in this reality as thoughts and feelings for this person. Does that make sense?

I have also often wondered about things like mediumship - do mediums tap into the energy of spirit or are they (a) picking up the vibes around the person they are reading and/or (b) again, tapping into this other reality.

Of course, there are many holes in my ponderings but just thought I would put it out there.

In the book Journey of Souls by Dr. Michael Newton parallel lives are discussed which is where a soul splits into two parts and incarnates into two bodies at the same time in order to speed up the soul's progress.

Hi, the way I remembered it when I was a ghost after a past life the medium tap into the family member I was connected to - to then visit me in my world, then tapping into me. This regression was guided by someone else who tried to guide me to the light-scene after my death and it so failed...I got to be a ghost instead and the regressionist did not seem to know what to do ;)
