I think it is first being completely honest with yourself, and then you can find a way on the path of truth. Meditation is about discovering the truth of yourself and coming to be at peace with it.

Serious practice of meditation can even make one become invulnerable.
This is mentioned in the "Yoga Sutras of Patanjali".

hi there,
This is not a direct answer to your question but regarding paraplegia.
I remember once reading that `clemens Kuby`suffered paraplegia from an accident which injured his spinal column but he overcame it with his strong will power and recovered. later on in life went on trekking tours int he himalayas too.
Pls google, you willet more information about his methods.

I agree meditation can be used for contemplation on the self and to find inner peace.
But in my believe, meditation can also be an aid to strengthen the physical body.
And this is what the OP is about; strengthening/healing the spine.

My view is the meditation is a high spiritual path which involves the truth of yourself. That I can talk about. Having no knowledge in any aspect of physiology, I can't reasonably comment on the described physical condition.

Do you believe the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali contain truth about meditation?

In addition to meditation, I would look into Reiki healing as well.
