How I Spent My Financial Aid Like A Boss (4 min. video)

Film student spends his financial aid check on an exotic vacation for himself and his girlfriend to go to Thailand. They cliff jump, swim in waterfalls, camp in a tiki hut, lounge in pools, take boat rides into nature, and carouse happily together. Here is his high quality now-viral video documenting their trip. 4 minutes. Enjoy

By looking at the amount of dislikes on this video, I can truly understand why they are receiving so much hate. There are students who could have used this financial aid for goal achieving, and not use it for a vacation by the expense of the taxpayers. I don't approve.

The schools have counselors that are more like sales people. They practically shove these loans down the students. A young 20 something with a free check refund is very vulnerable to that kind of temptation, and the schools function on these loans for the institution to survive. As long as the school makes their budget and staff is getting paid, they don't care what you do with your money and where your going after graduating.

I like his last line, " that money spent, ya... your going to have get that back from me".

Oh trust me, they will. If he hasn't paid his loans off within 10 years, come tax time, just wait and see what happens.

I have a friend that spent his whole college financial aid check on a down payment for a truck which he then drove without insurance and wrecked. lol I have to laugh when I think of that because of how irresponsible that was. That wasn't just money that was meant for books and supplies but for tuition as well.

But in Brandon's case I actually commend him for being able to stretch $2500 for such an epic vacation with his girlfriend. When our money is being devalued anyway because of inflation, and cronyism making it impossible for the average person to get ahead, it's hard for me to blame anyone that wants to take some money back. So I can't say I disapprove. College is arguably a huge waste of money anyway for most people nowadays depending of course on what you are studying.
