I was grateful.

Hmm... That is a predicament.

On one hand you could dine on some crickets but you would be eating the frog food.

Perhaps a small and sustainable cricket farm at your place of residence and workplace?

I used to say thank you for my peers comments too - they never seem to expect a thank you.

Train

I missed the train to nowhere
The popular, express train,
The one which
The important people catch.

I wasn't aware of
where the train was destined for, or
What time it left the station.
There was too much noise anyway,
The train sounded like its
Wheels might fall off and
Catch fire
Between
Whoop whoop and
Timbuktu...

It seemed like there
Was no point to this train,
Express to nowhere -
The conductor could never tell me
The purpose of this train...
He'd just shrug his shoulders and say
"anybody who is anybody, catches it".

I pulled a face at him - and told him that
It sounded stupid.

The train seemed boring,
It was a journey through a gazillion miles of
Underground tunnels -

Anyway,
I felt like walking,
I'd rather fumble through
The wilderness vaguely aware of
Where I was going
Then sit on a boring train,
With boring people in suits
Who talk about pointless fairytales,
Persuits of eternal fictitious ways to
Emulate importance...
Which they can never seem to
Explain the relevance or value of!

Lol...

weight

Amusing myself with my own
Sense of amusement...
One morning, before music practice,
I read the dictionary and ate vegetable slice -
It tasted nice.

I contemplated a niche where I could fit
Then realised that if I wedged myself
Between two narrow walls I might get stuck
So I sucked in my gut and tried anyway.

Everything, this particular morning was fine,
I got stuck between two narrow walls but felt okay,
So I stayed stuck in place as I paused to think -
Perhaps this niche might not be the right fit.

So I fasted for a while
Until I lost some kilo's around my waist
Then I unstuck myself and
Left no trace of my mistake...

Other then some words
Which I left engraved
On the walls...

"I was here for three days"
Until I found myself and
Lost some weight"...

Curious am I, to make mistakes and
Live to tell the story.

what the factoid?

What the fractoid
Is a factoid?
Is a a fact on steroids?

I'm not sure -
But I can bore you with this
Little detail...
Some little fun facts which are
Not drab or stale...

'Hatebeak' is the name of
A death metal band
Which is fronted by a parrot.

I have no facts about carrots but
Here is a fact about bananas...

There were 473 bananas
In the world's largest
Bunch of bananas...

With that one bunch you could make
236.5 loaves of banana bread...

Or feed a large family of monkeys instead.

Last year I went to a death metal show, put on a black teeshirt, black pants with a spiky belt to top it off, it was very entertaining with 3 different bands on the menu, the last band was over the top. They get into this slam dancing, I was in there getting bouched around, never had so much fun in a long time.

I think I lost 5 lbs and the wacky weed is legal in Canada eh, was having a few balance issues but these people are very nice, overall. I could see for some it was like a religion.

Lol... Thanks for the story.
I've not been to a metal concert but I've been to plenty of Punk Rock ones, they were fun.

hello

Petals fall through beams of
Everlasting sunshine,
Always reminding me of
Calm moments unified with
Eternity.

Shine
My light through
Inspired
Laughter...
Eliminate separation.

Laughter lines remind
One to delight in
Vivacious frivolity more often,
Entertaining your light.

Happiness arrives when
External drives for peace
Are balanced by the internal yearning for a
Love found.

Random elements of life
Are interesting and inspiring,
Nobody seems to notice though, the
Details of chance encounters,
Often we
Might forget to witness.

Practice
Loving
Acceptance,
Yearning to
Instil hopeful
Nourishing
Growth.

Forever
Undying

between you and I

In the darkness
I heard a shudder of
Gears changing and
An engine revving,
I could not see if a
Vehicle was
Heading towards me but I
Started to run.

I ran through the trees
Erratically
As the sound of the vehicle
Lurched towards me
At break neck speed.

My shoelace unravled
In some rocks and gravel,
I fell to the ground,
Bumping my head on a tree
A blood curdling scream
Overcame me.

Bloodied was my head,
I placed a hand up to the wound,
I was not unconscious or dead...
But the terror resumed as I saw
A figure approach me...
All in black.

Fear loomed in my
Mind. I chased my thoughts
Around like dazed moth
Caught in headlights.
I resigned my soul to its fate...
Everything had led me here to
This pursuit, this life altering chase...

It was too late for me,
The alarms had been heard and
Been ignored too many times -
Now there was no choice...
Now there was only one clear voice
To know...

'GO' it said.

The figure picked up my
Limp body off the ground,
Brushed the dirt off my knees and
Checked the wound on my head -
The figure transported me to my bed
Where I drifted between states of
Fear and knowing for god knows how long...

Until I heard a familiar song
Tempting me to wake again - renewed to
Face the being which pursued me
In the dark, to face the face which
Threatened me, who chased me -
the same one who
Carried me to
Certain death...
To my last breath.

But I was still alive!
Why? Surely it was
My time to die.

Just as I was quizzing my soul,
My mind went blank
My being was sent to
A heaven of sorts...
Where I was taught the truth -
Where I met the being which
Persued me through the dark
Where the light was so bright, so stark
It bore a hole into my heart...

Where shall I start?
A voice began to say,
Please stay a while -
An angel said with a smile -
Freshen up and meet me
Here back at noon -
Alternativly, she said...
You could return to the dying body
In your room -
It's up to you.
But hear me now,
Whatever you choose
Do it with love - and
Put full trust into your being...

Either way, whatever choice
You make, know that we will
Meet again.

---------------------------------------------

To be continued...

alternate realities, shifting gears

In the light of the sunshine
I heard the sound of a V8
Revving in the distance,
So I listened to hear
If I could detect
The direction of potential
Travel and decide
Upon my own course of action.

A breeze swept past my face
In the wind - the smell of
Polluting petrol
In my own heart, a pure
Sustaining
Fuel.

My ears hear the
Sound of shifting gears, foot on gas,
Car now flat out
Hurtling towards me,
My mind is clear
Like a freshly oiled machine -
I can steer this outcome as
I please.

I pause, I gather my strength,
I take my stand in the
Path of this hurtling car,
I see the drivers face,
As clear as day -
My position remains anchored...
My fate is determined.

My heart is undeterred
By oncoming collision.
I remain unswayed by my
Decision.

The car screeches to a halt
Just a hairs breadth away from me
I've made my escape,
Unscathed by
Deciding to stay in place.

The eyes of the driver
Peer right at me -
We stay locked in
Long knowing gaze,
I am glowing
From hypnotic, empowered daze.

I had faced my fear and
Now it was time for me
To turn
And walk away
From that which had
Haunted and taunted me
For so long.

Sunrise Verses:

What's in store
For a heart reformed
By love?
More space created,
More room to move
More space to breath...
More colours in play
More to feel, more to see.

What's the method to this
Madness?
Look the past in the eyes
And surprise it with forgiveness,
Look the future in the eyes and
Compliment it with
Vibes of peace and wisdom...

It's a new day,
I'll catch you
On the new wave.
