Temple etiquette

I've read to "wear clean socks" but do some go barefoot?
I know that shoes aren't permitted. Must one wear socks?

I think socks will be okay. You can just check with monks and look at others around you. Enjoy!

Hi Sunsoul :)

Birds,
Outside building is fine.

Inside the building, like Dhammahall, shoes isn't polite.
But socks still okay.

But if Theravada Buddhism, when hearing Dhamma using sock also not polite, we must barefoot except for ill people.

thanks

I thought socks were fine and worried about barefeet but now am worried about wearing socks.
I'll just take off my shoes and keep on the socks unless I sense an issue. Thanks to all.

If by chance you do do the wrong thing some one is sure to put you straight before it turns into a major drama.
