cold sores

What works well on getting rid of facial cold sores besides lysine supplements and meds like Valacyclovir? Is there a permanent cure? I had an outbreak 2 weeks ago and another now. The sore looks like rotting flesh but is always healed within 3 days. I really shouldn't complain since some people take 1-2weeks to resolve but I was wondering if anyone found a great cure.

There is a natural, sure-fired cure (has never failed) but you need to catch the cold sore at the initial tingly stage.

Simply apply an icecube to the sore and leave there until the sore feels numb (may be less than one minute). Remove ice cube. Job done - the virus is killed stone dead!

My poor little daughter ended up with blisters today on her lip. I tried ice cubes on her and the sores looked almost gone. A couple of hours later the blisters showed up again. I reapplied ice and the swelling went down and the blisters disappeared again. She's sleeping, resting and repairing and hopefully she'll be healed in the morning.

Hi CJ. I know ginger is anti-bacterial. Would it fight the virus? But it does decrease inflammation. My grandma used to apply it on bruises along with the Tiger balm when I was little. It can't hurt. I'll try it on my daughter in the morning if the blisters persist. And please thank your guide for me.

Thuja, which is an herbal liquid extract. It has literally never failed me. But it needs to be applied at the first sign and constant throughout the day. At least that's how I do it. Also the ice works too, so do both together. Ice then Thuja. When applied, it gives your lip the feeling like after you've just eaten a ton of pretzels..you know that dry feeling that wrinkles your lips? So you know the Thuja is killing it. You can probably find it in a local homeopathic store. Also there are rigorous enzyme treatments that are said to 'cure' your body of the virus, but I'd recommend speaking with a homeopathic doc before doing that. Good luck!

This is why I stipulated that it only works at the initial tingly stage.

Holy cow! I'll tell a friend ---! Very excited about this.

I open a cap of Lysine - mix it with ascorbic acid ---or any cap of Vit C -
keep in a small small jar
at the ready - dab that on AT THE START of it.

Thanks Bella and Miss Hepburn! Thuja sounds really interesting. Is it a drying agent? I like the Lysine and vitamine C mix method. Amy, I truly love the ice cure. It makes the affected area feel and look better. I have so many choices now. Thank you everyone!
