Do we see a "best bits montage" of our life when we die?

I really hope that when we die we see a kind of best bits montage of our life play out in front of us. I've heard of the saying "my life flashed before my eyes" and I really hope it's true. It would be amazing!!

I think we get to review the whole thing, from best to the very worst......

I very much believe that we do... as dragonfly has said,we get to review it all, also from the perspectives of others that we have affected both good and bad.. see feel etc.. as far as what you asking about "my life flashed before my eyes" I can speak for this myself, although I did not cross over to experience this, none the less yes I did have a best bits montage of the happiest/best moments of my life that made my life worth living.. and yes all of it did flash before me as if I were watching it play out on a picture screen.. in a flash :)

It can happen prior to one's death: I'm certain you will receive the best & worst bits ...
Mine began once I recovered from the shock of my late husband's death; the flashes continued during my grieving years ...
Anytime, we go through a traumatic experience our past is revealed for review of all issues; where we went wrong or right including the good & bad ...
Issues we buried deeply; a new chance to resolve or cover them again ...
Good choices & times; to remind of us we have the tools to recreate that joy & happines again ...
The hard part is calming the pain, despair & desperation to allow the position points of our life to come through ...
It takes alot of healing work to be able to use our personal tools to recreate the joy & happiness as well as find peace ...

Is this montage set to music? I would quite like my montage to be set to either:

Bittersweet symphony - The Verve
What about now - Westlife
I belive - Honey soundtrack
Stop crying your heart out - Oasis

You do... But you might be surprised what your "best bits" are. It "Life Review" can be something you remember vividly or it could be something you do not even remember happening. It boils down to pivotal moments in your life and the lives of others you have influenced in both a positive and negative ways.

Viewing one's own life records upon death depends upon the individual. As for how long they play - wether from beginning to end or just the 'good bits' is also dependent upon the individual.

I almost drowned when I was 12, I was caught in an undertow at the beach, my face was on the ocean floor unable to get up and was out of breath, my life did flash in front of me, I saw everything from a small child and it was like a quick review..not sure if that is from oxygen depravation or what..but my answer would be yes.

I KNOW that you do! I was in a boating accident and the last thing I remember was being pulled under the water and thinking how easy it would be to let go... and then I'm assuming I did, but I remember trying to fight again to get above water onto a tree that was in the water. I woke up to a guy on top of me doing CPR but I did have flashbacks. I knew why I couldn't die. All I could see were flashbacks (and future visions) of me with my horse, who at that time, and really still is, 15 years later, one of the great loves of my life.
