Here's another one:

It's high time
To be only thinking of you
Heating your body
With flame and glow
You are a gold mine
Hidden in the earth
To purify you
We must set you
On fire

Hmm, i like these. The one about the flute is a synch with my friend also. It almost sounds like krishna and radha...or maybe because I was just studying this and my mind made that fit somehow.

All of the quotes have such a personal nature to them. I am trying, in my daily life, to find the love and the joy in the things I do. I have done my job for years, and I forget to find the meaning, the soul, of it. I feel worn out. Sometime I wonder if ones 'twin flame' isn't a person at all, but the self we build with love and joy that reaches out to the world. It would be wonderful to meet that daily me, that day to day life I build, with the same fluttery happy feeling you get when you see a loved one, and to treat those days with as much care and respect. Sorry - I may be rambling. Just some thoughts I had on being bored with my work and wondering what is next in life - if anything.

Lovely things you said there.

This reminds me of the religious verse, "Be still and know". I try for that. To stop thinking and explaining. Just to watch and learn from everything around me. To stop trying to make change and accept my life. To be happy in my space. When my son was young he didn't talk much and it worried me endlessly. My mother said - maybe if you'd shut up and give him a chance to get a word in every once in a while. Try that, my friend. Stop talking, stop explaining, stop ranting and railing. Stop.

"Listen!
Clam up your mouth and be silent like an oyster shell, for that tongue of yours is the enemy of the soul, my friend.
When the lips are silent, the heart has a hundred tongues."
-Rumi

That's good advice of yours and Rumi's

I'm not sure who I heard say it now, may have been Eckhart Tolle. About when having a conversation with others, is to listen to hear and understand, not just to answer. To stay present and give our full attention to what the other is saying. I try!

Josephine, I try, too!

So this one hit me,

“Don’t be satisfied with stories,
how things have gone with others.
Unfold your own myth.”
– Rumi

I have been home all day, house cleaning. I love a good purge, it makes me feel calm and in control. Boxing up the unwanted and giving them where they can be used. Cleaning up the dust and the dog hair. All of those things, they are just the things from another story. They don't belong in the current story. I clean them out, to make space for the new story to grow, almost like taking the weeds from a garden so the new plants can grow. I think love can be like that. You have to remove the old hurts and the old stores, to make space for the new happy things. My husband is definitely my life mate, but we definitely have past issues that have built up, like dust bunnies under the couch, lol. We are in a new phase of our story, I need to not hold on to the old stories, and make a space for the new 'myth' to take place.

That one line- know the lift of your heel and the glide of your foot... that’s so beautiful. Such a good vignette

I'm glad you've got motivation for cleaning! You're right though, does feel satisfying when done. And getting rid of clutter too. I don't want lots of stuff anymore not just the material type.

I know we were talking about not talking, lol. But you have lots to say and your words are rich. Some people keep journals don't they. It can help a lot to get thoughts and feelings down. And who know what will come out. Once the flow starts it can take you in all sorts of directions.

A lover knows only humility
He has no choice
He steals into your alley at night
He has no choice
He longs to kiss every lock of your hair
Don't fret
He has no choice
In his frenzied love for you
he longs to break
the chains of his imprisonment
He has no choice
