Monk mode

With a loving heart and a steady mind
Have left the ghosts of the past behind
Worrying not about the unseen future
Are here and now, in meditational fervour

On the world stage we are the actors
And back stage we are our own directors
Observer observing the observed, both us
Playing our assigned role without any fuss

We are for we are not, the doerless doer
Desireless, fearless, all thoughts slower
Witnessing life experiences as they unfold
With an equal eye, shifting tides behold

The magic of flowering is in unhurried time
Ecstatically merged in the divine sublime
Each moment and nuance, a unique taste
Joyful assimilation within, free of haste

Egoless in the now paying humble tribute
Imbibing the divine love enabling attribute
In being, becoming a divine transmitter
A nonjudging, all embracing, love emitter

Upon abdicating the throne of thorns, my bleeding stopped and wounds healed

I then automatically discovered the essence of truth within, self revealed

We walked had in hand you and I, through fiery storms and troubles
The powerful gales that would have swept you away, I changed into harmless bubbles

You withdrew your hand and went off your way and said you’ve regions to explore
So you stopped your flight, lost your balance and crawled on all fours

I called to you with all my heart for I couldn’t see your sorrow
But by then you were engrossed in a snail and your head was deep in a burrow

From time to time you did hear my voice but you dismissed it as but a dream
You were on all fours, crawling in the furrow, living out your own scheme

Then one day on your own you paused and listened inwards with intent
You heard my voice and called to me and I immediately did relent

Unified with me again you realised at last that divine love is the all
‘Come’ you said, with a gleam in your eye, ‘let’s walk into the oncoming squall!’

Merge and unify

I did often contemplate
And frequently did meditate

Yet the magic was missing
Of two lovers kissing

The ‘I’ manifest, union is denied
Through surrender alone is the ego untied

The doer is enmeshed in desirous duality
Egoless we fuse in an ecstatic singularity

The whole is greater than the sum of the parts
There is no calculation in love enabled hearts

Thoughts are simply energy bands so let us pick those of higher stature
Enabled if our attention is divine centric and not rooted in our egoistic nature

Divine unifies, expands and raises; the ego divides, contracts and lowers
Our evolution is defined by wherever our attention hovers

A review

Doerless we do but in doing the doer rises
Good humouredly we view these surprises
For as long as there is humour
There can be no doer
Slipping on a banana peel
To the observer in us holds appeal
So as the observer, we nonchalantly look
The lessons imbibed found in no book

The ego surfaces from the minutest crack
Ignore it and on its own it will recede back
Such is the truth, direct and stark
If we be light, then why fear the dark
Engaging at all levels, easy and slow
Disengaging instantly as water does flow
Doing nothing, our love index grows
Divine enabled, in our thoughts it shows

There is no path and yet we move
To the unstruck music we just groove
Desires reduced, our burden is light
In the here and now the divine does ignite
Poised and receptive we behold in wonder
Embracing divine love in total surrender
Nestled in the current we are transforming
Dispersing divine love, being and so becoming

Tuning in anytime
Ecstatic in that energy sublime
On my own totally incapable and inept
That impulse of energy towards me automatically leapt
Graced in this manner the flow is amplified
Surrendering I gained more than if I had tried
Now can switch on and off each body receptor
Differentiating the taste of each divine nectar
Yet somewhere within there seems to be a blockade
Ignition is missing, the current is staid
The centres within are perhaps not entwined
Or the residue of my past has me in its bind
Be that as it may I am so close and yet so far
All I can do is wait, leaving the door ajar

In being to become we are no longer the same

Same body but the approach is now fresh
Unfettered by the old habit forming mesh
The hermit is unaffected as nothing is his
Others meanwhile struggle with the jigsaw quiz

Lightness is unclinging & enabling
Uncalculatingly giving, unthinkingly forgiving
Free flowing
Embracing, imbibing, assimilating & releasing
And thus being & becoming
Love outpouring
Unending
