That is actually a conceptual theory. I know there are people who have achieved this state, but there are also countless other people who have achieved countless other states. We create our own reality and arrive where we are aiming at. If you aim at I AM you will arrive. If you aim elsewhere then you will arrive elsewhere.

I'm not sure I want to "achieve" enlightenment at all. My heart lies elsewhere.

Well, until it's your own experience, yes.

Of course. The desire of your heart is what has meaning for you and is your own path.

I never looked for 'enlightenment' either. I wanted to be free from the conflicts and constraints of the emotional mind and I decided I would do whatever it took. What a lot of surprising turns came from that commitment.

I'm getting the feeling that you and I have different meanings for 'enlightened', whisper.

There is nothing wrong with experiencing unified consciousness and oneness. But I do wonder where SOCIAL elements fit in. I feel very sociable. I feel a need to believe in God. But perhaps the experience of complete consciousness fullfills those needs?
