The pineal gland is structured like our eyes and is our third eye.

I think it all started with Rene Descartes, who supposed that this gland was the locale of the soul.
“My view is that this gland is the principal seat of the soul, and the place in which all our thoughts are formed. That is very interesting! It's either intentional or coincidental, but very educating.
According to Yoga, the pineal gland corresponds to the Bindu Chakra and is responsible for the production of 'Soma' or 'Nectar'.
Soma is like a divine 'fuel source' within the body that yogis use to access mystical states and also for health and longevity.
With yoga and meditation, the atrophied pineal gland blossoms to life again, giving us all these experiences.
It only remains dormant through non-use, basically. I'll write more about it later, because words aren't flowing as easily as usual tonight.

When I visualise, I see a purple circle where the third eye is. I worked with a healer last year and have had this since. Before I began to see the purple, my forehead felt like it was burning. Then one day I looked in the mirror and there was an imprint, the shape of an angel on my forehead. This is not unheard of.

It has been nicknamed, "The seat of the soul".
Supposedly vitamin C decalcifies your pineal gland.
But don't go crazy with it, I also heard that TOO much vitamin C can give you kidney stones.
