FIRST LUCID DREAM!!!!!!!
I'm so happy. I've been trying to go lucid for months now. it finally worked!
I don't know how it happened, I was dreaming I was in some really fancy place... like a university town or hogwarts. I was standing outside a window. then I realized it wasn't real....so to test it I jumped off the building. I kept telling myself it isn't real as I went down. I didn't die so I confirmed it was a dream
haha maybe not the best way to test if one is dreaming or not. I hear looking in the mirror or counting your fingers is much more effective. but this is what worked for me from there I began sculpting the dream.... exploring... flying. hopefully I can find a more effective way of telling I'm in a dream next time aside from throwing my dream self off buildings

Yaaaaay! Well done fox.
I always test I'm dreaming by putting my finger of one hand through the palm of the other. Then I walk off high buildings!

I mostly just looked up tutorial videos on youtube and followed what they said. Trying to stay conscious as I drift into sleep. . setting alarms in the middle of the night so that i can wake up then go lucid when i fall back asleep etc.

This works for me as well.
If I accidentally fall asleep, as a back-up/supportive practice, I bring awareness to my daily activities, where I'm falling into the "dream of life"...like not experiencing sensations directly/purely, kinda zen-ish, the more aware I am during waking of moments that pull me from living in the now, the more aware during dreaming I can pick up similar, so (DILD). Dreams have a distinct sensation that is different from waking life, it's my signal I'm dreaming within the dream, and then go lucid from there. It takes more daily practice, but hey it increases the odds of a lucid dream.
