Did I do anything?

I'm not sure where to put this. Okay so my teacher told me to go home and when it's dark go into a dark room, close my eyes and breathe deeply in and push it out through my hands, feet and crown chakra. She said I should see a triangle at some point and that it would open me up.

The first time I tried I saw an upside down triangle coming at me and all of a sudden I became afraid. I suddenly thought of this old fear I use to have which was becoming my mother who had schizophrenia. So I was afraid I was going to go crazy like her.

Fast forward to today. I decided I'm ready to try it again and so I tried again but all I felt was my chest hurting (though that could be a completely other reason) and I felt tingly all over (probably from the breathing). Then I felt like I was vibrating. Like my face and chest and stomach were vibrating fast. I feel good now too, lol. Does the vibrating mean anything? I don't know if I'm doing it right or making any progress.

It sounds like what people experience when they're channeling energy - Reiki, etc - or occasionally during their spiritual awakening. I would say that it's normal and sounds like what your teacher said would happen. It's possible that the chest pain - if it's not being causd by other things, as you know - could be coming from the heart chakra opening. If there's a lot of pain, it can hurt to open back up again.

I'd say that since you had a good reaction from it in the end - despite the fearful first time - it's progress. I'm not familiar with that method, or of seeing triangles, but I know dark rooms are good for encouraging spiritual sensitivity. It sounds a bit like a method for pushing out the heavy energy in yourself; the darkness representing things like sadness, fear, anger, and the method of pushing out the darkness through hands/feet/crown to be symbolic for releasing those heavy energies and becoming spiritually lighter.

i figure that simply by applying your time and energy into it, you'll be making
progress. even failures are gonna be learning experiences, and you'll likely
need to experiment with what you're doing since i highly doubt that "one size
fits all" in regards to moving personal energies (you'll need to discover your
own unique methods).

The Downward facing Triangle is the Divine Trinity descending into your own Consciousness ........ FEAR blocks it ....... Fearing the Light is common. Everyone i know who has gotten Schizophrenia was afraid of the LIGHT! and each REFUSED to FORGIVE the past and clung to hate instead (Judgment) ~

The Vibrations are HIGHER ENERGIES which any can become AWARE of ~
