Can you prove that those faces, figures, and forms are not rock elementals? Their lifespans are so much longer than humans, so maybe they move much too slowly for you to be able to see. We all know that a rock's vibration is much, much slower than a humans.

It's true.. the big one that stands out looks like a typical fantasy dwarf.. click

And yes, one can ''see'' many ''faces'' in the rocks.. When I was there, I had binoculars with me so I've seen it closer. Of course I also visited the temple.
When you actually get closer it becomes clear that the ''faces'' are not as obvious as they appear to be from the distance taken in the photo..

Heres one for you guys....... its serious as in, its actualy the main tourist attraction to mycity, and history lol

This is Nanabijou, a giant who angered an elder and caused him to fall asleep in the bay on the lake. he now guards the silver (whom he gave secrets to "the white man" about) in his eternal slumber.

Its actualy quite nice, and its a microclimate on hte east/south sides. All it is is the penninsula that forms the bay.

I like the post Crysaetos, Ive understood this off and on for a while, along with anthropimorphizing in religion ( same difference IMO).

It is nigh impossible to prove a negative so that kind of falls into the realm of a straw man argument. However, being that the assertion is that they are rock elementals, the burden of proof is on the party making said assertion.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Definitely.

We can't always disprove the existence of something, but what we can do is provide a more reasonable explanation..

He has many good quotes btw. .. Have you read The Demon Haunted World..? I can absolutely recommend it. You could read through the book and find countless good quotes..

''If you're open to the point of gullibility and have not a microgram of skeptical sense in you, then you cannot distinguish the promising ideas from the worthless ones. Uncritically accepting every proffered notion, idea, and hypothesis is tantamount to knowing nothing. Ideas contradict one another; only through skeptical scrutiny can we decide among them. Some ideas really are better than others.'' (Carl Sagan, The Demon Haunted World, 305)

Great quote!

I don't understand why people are threatened so much by skepticism, it genuinely baffles me. The only conclusion I can reach, isn't a good one, but boils down to willful ignorance. Some people would rather react with hostility towards skeptics and skeptical inquiry, so they can maintain their illusions without ever removing their blinders long enough to even consider a possibility more grounded in reality.

About the clouds...

This weekend the weather has gone from no clouds in the sky to storming, whenever I have had the time to reach for the camera. So no luck finding anything interesting yet, but I'll keep looking up!
