I am new here, this thread caught my eye. To me sleep dreams can have meaning or not. Some can be random processing.... (IMO) Many do have real meaning.

I have considered dreaming while awake, in a theta state (lucid dreaming as called), as in before you fall asleep and are aware of the dream, as more a "vision" having merit and meaning. I never considered them to possibly have the random, or no real meaning a sleep dream can sometimes be (IMO), I have viewed them as special and to be looked at seriously. I believe visionary dreaming is a sign of awakening and awareness myself. (excluding mental conditions that can cause them also). To me this is a fascinating topic.

What an excellent post!

I had my second experience last night. My first was only about 6 months ago. I was in a field getting ready to camp, when I came out of the house / tent and realised the fields were different and that couldn't happen. I realised i was dreaming and decided to fly. At first I couldn't do it, i was running about, but then i started flapping and even though there was a great weight on me trying to hold me down and I eventually mananged it.

I looked back down and felt i was getting too high so brought myself down to land. After that I tried to make the landscape snowy, but all I could see was a muddy field so I gave up and let the dream take me back in. I don't remember anything after that point.

It was still brillant and has made me smil this morning :)

My beloved came again

This time I was just arriving in a city where I would give a conference. I had been working all night long in the speech, as I had not had enough time to prepare it.
Guess the situation, tired, stressed, and lonely with such duty before me.

Just to rest I lied on the hotel's bed and half and half asleep and first I saw his face, very real, 3D with all details. After a while I saw and felt his hands taking mines. Was so real, not something ethereal, with volume, temperature, texture as they exactly were. Was so shocking and so beautiful that I burst on tears of emotion and gratitude.

After that I could get up and finish my duties flawlessly.

It was a wonderful experience.

I have had several lucid dreams since I have read the book Lucid dreaming and intending it before bed. It took me several times of practicing before I could fly (instead of float or glide). I tried jumping off things, gathering a cloud together and riding it (I fell right off when it moved really fast forward! lol) Then one day I realized I was dreaming. I went outside and I intended to float up, so I did, then I flew around. It was incredible!
