I am the way, the truth and the life.

We all remember the famous words of Jesus Christ: I am the way, the truth and the life.

It took me some good time to understand the real meaning behind it, Jesus clearly said that "I am the way", in other words, there's only one way, the way, how do I know there is only one way? It's simple, then, He said the truth. Can you see? There's only one truth because when the truth changes, well, it becomes a lie, so if He is the truth and there is only one truth, then, He is also the way, the only way, there's only one truth.

You rely here on what you were told that Jesus said. It's your faith that it was so. This isn't a Christianity thread, so I dare to suggest that you try to find the truth, about what Jesus said for example, by turning toward your inside and ask for answers and guidance, instead of relying on external sources, and trying to rationalize what they mean.

I don't understand why you posted this in the "affirmation" thread. What is your affirmation here?

This is what I did, everything I said there comes from me.I've read the gospels and now I receive these insights without doing a single thing, these ideas come to me, I do not seek them nor I read about them.

This is an affirmation, but empty words are like a dead stone, I merely tried to share my understanding of these words.

And to add, it helps when you really 'get' who Jesus was/is...the Word made flesh....
know that Word..that is everywhere and always is and was.

As he said in Thomas' Gospel ...look under the rock I am there...verse 77?
I can't rem.
(OMG, I looked it up I was RIGHT! v. 77!)

If the Mods want to move this to Christianity they can...you can ask them to.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

And it depends what we understand by Jesus Christ.

Do we mean Jesus the man who may have lived 2,000 years ago?

Or do we mean the Christ Consciousness which is present within each one of us? Christ Consciousness is nothing to do with Christianity, but is a term sometimes used to represent our own highest nature.

Thus our own highest nature is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Peace.

The impressions I draw from these words are:

I am the way ... I Am (the way) God / as God / absoluteness

the truth ... free of delusion of duality, knowing & being one with Oneness

and the life ... life free of limitation

The message being that we may be as He just as He is as God Absolute
