A hugely influential artist, though in a very quiet, unassuming way.

He will be missed by many.

A great musician, poet/lyricist & a great man. One of my personal heroes. He had the true heart of an artist in him. People have heard of Johnny Cash playing at Folsom prison, well Leonard and some musicians once played an impromptu set at a mental hospital to the patients there back in the 70s sometime. One of the greatest Canadians of all time, without question.

RIP Mr. Cohen. I'm sure there was a nice spot waiting for you in the afterlife, bless you for all you've done. ~*

I would be remiss not to post a live performance, so this one seems apropos considering. I actually wonder if a certain elections result helped expedite his decision to peace it out of this world, lol. I kid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHI9BTpGkp8

I have never aquired any of his music for some reason....probably youtube!

he did come out with some corking conversation stoppers during interviews.

an interviewer asked him why he was so austere?
he replied, "because I love the voluptuousness of austerity"

he was a really funny guy!
