Running from police, Disney paintings

[Elysium]

I had a dream that me and a friend were breaking into a very rich person's house. They had large paintings of Disney princesses worth millions. We were alerted that a family member was escorting the owners to come catch us, then the police showed up and we ran away, there was an opening in the woods that lined the street and through the opening it turned into a huge yellow field. I was running fast for many miles, then a hay bale came rolling from behind me and I jumped up and got on top of it. For some reason the hay bale took me far away from the police. Then I found myself in a city and the police spotted me there with my face turned away and said don't make a move I ran and they started shooting at my feet. I then woke up.

I'm sure this means something, but what?

i'm gonna need to ruminate on this to get a more comprehensive understanding.
the first thing that strikes me is that you were with "a friend", and that you
acted as a team in the early parts (though he doesn't appear to actually do
anything in particular). this suggests a 'spiritual guide' to me, as they often
seem to accompany people, without being active participants... which is
suggesting that the entire scene is speaking to your spiritual development
[it's a story about your growth in understanding, and not about affixing
guilt or blame].

i haven't got a grasp on a complete story for you Elysium, but i'm
reasonably convinced that an aspect of this dream involves you having
played a 'jedi mind trick' on yourself. i believe that much of the dream
has seen you as being 'disassociated' from yourself.
you'd broken into "a very rich person's house"... i'm thinking that it was
your own home. the large paintings, worth millions are representing
some treasure of yours that i'm unclear on. it may relate to having some
iconic ideals of how you believe females ought to be displayed [?].
the "we were alerted" idea was odd... it's as if you were privy to
conversations involving the home owner [cuz i think you were!].
the whole running away portion of things doesn't appear to be
informative (excepting in that it turns out to have been ineffective?).
there's just no reason for those cops in a distant city to have spotted
or recognized you, especially with your face turned away (...unless
they'd been alerted to you by you, somehow). i'm thinking
that these authority figures are working for you... under your orders
(the unseen 'non-disassociated' portion of you?)... to your benefit.
in the 'real world', police don't fire their weapons unless they intend
to kill -- which isn't the case here. these dream police have only
sought to prevent you from running away (targeting your feet).

i hadn't gained the impression that you were initially seeking to
rob that house. it may have been more like an information gathering
mission... where you'd observed things as if through some other
persons eyes. not running away from what you've discovered, and
instead bringing that fresh perspective to yourself (the home owner)
may be the point behind the experience.

I'd say it's possible you have bought into the idea that being a princess is where your worth is. Many young girls are fed the idea that a rich handsome man is supposed to come sweep them off their feet and take care of them. There is nothing wrong with that but it may not happen if we don't feel worthy of it. The idea that you were wrong for being in the mansion caused you to be chased off from this life. Guilt or a sense of it being wrong (police) is causing you to run and hide. Fear may also be involved as you found yourself in a yellow field running atop a hay bale which could indicate there is a lot of hard work or energy going into this cyclical behavior. It will keep persisting until you work through the feeling you don't deserve that kind of life.

it finally occurred to me that there WAS an 'informative' bit to the dream
where you were running, running, running Elysium. while in that
'disassociated' frame of reference, you'd had a "roll in the hay"...
it'd come up on you from behind, without you looking for it, and it aided
you in your efforts at that time. what you'd learned through the 'escape'
portion of the dream could make a valuable addition to the report you
give (to yourself) concerning your 'information gathering mission'.

Hmm. What is an information gathering mission? What type of information? Do you mean information I could use in waking life?

3) yes; incorporating the ideas you've collected through looking at things
from different vantage points is something you'll apply in your waking life.
2) information which feels good to your wholeness. ideas which detract
from your sense of well-being are 'disinformation', and aren't helpful.
1) being open to receiving input from unexplored avenues of inquiry, and
looking at things from new angles can provide fresh information.
