Not vivid and not lucid.

I've been doing a lot of the practice things lately like reality checks and frequently asking whether or not I'm dreaming. I've been increasing my dream recall really well. My dreams are not very vivid and its hard to explain because I can remember three or four a night and lots of details but its like I'm seeing with eyes half open. Any remedy for this?

Another thing is I was curious just how long it takes for the habit to manifest in the dream world because I've been reality checking for about three weeks now and I haven't really done it in my dreams at all. I asked if I was dreaming in a dream once but I didn't become lucid. Thoughts on this would be nice.

I tried doing this before and lost the habit. I've done well with making a habit out of it but I can feel that familiar feeling of disappointment creeping in because I haven't had a lucid dream yet. Please, someone teach me what I'm doing wrong or how to improve on what I'm already doing.

Hi Hawk, id probably keep trying with what your doing already, if the impatience (hehehe!) gets to strong, try a break for a few days, that is what I usually did if that happened or I wasn't getting a particular experience I was after, then quite often it just happens, if not then maybe move onto try a different format, try using the intention of lucidity maybe from an object or person who is recurrent in your dreams?
Just a few ideas :)
Happy travels :)

Thanks for the advice. Funny that you said that when you did because I decided to take the weekend and do that very thing. I just didn't worry about it too much (And yes I tend to be impatient.) But last night I had two dreams that were much more vivid. Still no lucid ones yet, but It'll happen when it happens.

I'm slowly reading through Stephen LaBerge's book and trying to implement the exercises in to my habits so hopefully I'll get somewhere with it soon. Thanks again.

I have not been able to consciously or unconsciously lucid dream since a few years back but last year I moved to a new flat - my old bedroom was so good for this,I had all types of experiences, it seems as though the Feng Shui of the new place is not quite right and it is certainly depressing so I'm with you, wonder what the mechanics of this are.
