Cardinal

A neighbor and his son were discussing some very important issues on a beautiful evening last week. Their yard is private thanks to shrubs and trees, but unfortunately I heard more than I wanted to. Some was regarding issues of life and death and violation, all pertaining to the young man. I had been sitting in my yard when the conversation started and it was intense from the beginning. As I was trying to quietly leave them to their privacy, I saw a beautiful red cardinal in the tree almost seeming to observe them. I watched as it swooped closer and closer to their conversation and then circled them and returned to its perch. The life of the young man is hanging in the balance and is being determined by a host of physicians and he was bringing some very serious issues of when he was a young boy to his father's attention. I care very deeply about the outcome as they are friends. I just wondered if the cardinal's appearance and behavior had anything to tell me.

As someone who gets bird signs all the time, I can relate, believe me. As in, cool.

Thanks for the reply, John. Yes, it was actually cool because there was clearly a message there. My gut is that each of us receives our own message even when the messenger looks the same (i.e. a cardinal ;-), so others can't really interpret them for you really. They can just sometimes help you fit pieces together to get a clearer picture.
