Ear Pain

My cousin is having some ear problems, and she can't get to the doctor yet. I gave her some of the basic remedies that I have tried and helped me: garlic suspended in olive oil, a plug of garlic in the ear, and heat, but I know there are other remedies out there.

I was just wondering if you guys had anything else that you would be willing to share that you had tried, and had helped you, that perhaps I could pass along?

I bit of hydrogen peroxide in there...keep head tilted for a minute...
empty out then a hair dryer ...and there's nothing like placing a hot water bottle there...of course, don't burn yourself.
In the cold place cotton in there to protect it.
Works every time for me.

I used a chinese herbal remedy once that helped (don't recall the name).
Homeopathy is also useful.
Both can be google for examples (lots of articles, easy to follow, I just looked).

ps. Now I just keep the olive oil/garlic on hand (as you mentioned).

Audiclean is something I would recommend, especially if the traditional oil based remedies don't do the job.
