The best way for one to find out anything significant about Tibetan Buddhism is to visit some Tibetan Buddhist centres, listen to some talks etc. The key aspect of Tibetan Buddhism is your relationship and instruction from a recognised teacher (guru) in one of the lineages of Gelug, Sakya, Nyingma, or Kagyu.
