These 5 Mind Expanding Movies Will Make You.....

These 5 Mind Expanding Movies Will Make You Question Reality

Feel Free To Add Your Suggestions!

1. Waking life.

Waking Life examines what a dream is vs. what reality is, and whether or not we can distinguish between the two. The protagonist wanders through moments with many unnamed characters. It’s a pretty trippy film, often moving from real to ethereal and questioning the validity of existence. Is this real life?

2. Samsara.

Samsara is an epic documentary, released in 2011, in the same style as Baraka and Chronos. Samsara is a Sanskrit word meaning “continuous flow,” in this case embodying the loop of continuous life. The visuals are stunning and it really sends a strong message of interconnectedness and a global consciousness.

3. Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives

Uncle Boonmee is a Thai film, released in 2010, that features Uncle Boonmee, a dying man, on a journey exploring his past lives.

It is the last in a trilogy called Primitive, and it deals with memory, reincarnation, and facing death. It’s truly an incredible film.

4. Under The Skin

One of Scarlett Johanson’s greatest films released just a few months ago, Under The Skin is a much watch. It’s about an unnamed alien who takes human form and seduces men, leading them to a harvesting place. Under The Skin is a stunning movie that deals with human consciousness and personal experience.

5. Enter The Void

This movie is nicknamed “acid on film” and for a good reason. It’s sort of like a continuous trip for the extent of the film. The camera even blinks in and out as the protagonist blinks. Doesn’t get much more first person than that. This movie has a pretty crazy twist so I won’t spoil it for you.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Let's create this a list thread of most inspiring spiritual movies.

For me, they are:

The Revenant
Anything by Paul Thomas Anderson

That's all I can really think of.

Some inspiring poems that I'm sure all here who replied would appreciate are:

Yeats the Second Coming
Blake the Marriage of Heaven and Hell
Elliot The Wasteland
Yeats Phases of the Moon
Yeats Leda and the Swan (Single Women And No Spouse, Hepburn would like it)
Elliot the Love Song of J Alfred Prufrok

Some Music I find Inspiring:

Smashing Pumpkins Cherub (Hercub) Rock
Alice in Chains the Rooster (Prophesy outright I was born in the year of the Rooster)
Anything by the Eagles, Stones, Beatles

Thanks for starting this thread!

Waking Life most definitely. It’s a very philosophical film with plenty of great quotes and nuggets of information. Basically, it is what Blow Up should have been.
