I think the beatitudes are in praise and support of the gathered unassuming unknown-in contrast to the perceived and self perceived "elect".

If you are looking at God, you see a mirror that is nothing but your blatant self. I do not think therefore it is something that should be easily tampered nor taken lightly at all, because His heart will judge you the most harsh of you as well as the best of you. Count that one can survive it through lol. That would be what I think a pure heart is.

Sorry to be harsh on that, but this one is to act as something opposite.

To analyze the word SEE in the verse.( Mathew 5:8 )

The Greek word optanomai or optomai = SEE (in the verse)

The alternate is horao which means to stare or to discern clearly.

optomai = to gaze something remarkable.

optanomai = middle voice

a derivative of optanomai is optasia which means visuality as an apparition - vision.

Just some info to consider.

This pure (clean) heart makes me think of:
A new Man and a New Heart.
New wine skin must have new wine.

Some come to this quickly and some over time.

When you said "all" are in need...many do not feel they are in need, better phraseology would have been "for those in need"

So again, sin is more than an act, or acts. Human nature is something which is fallen, in contrast to the angelic and divine.
The Holiness of God, Who is Spirit.

But, again? The daily news evidences the sinfulness of humanity, alone, regarding acts and behavior.

If you prefer subjectivity to objectivity, your choice.
