At the higher levels I have read that we are just balls of light.
We have less of a need for a physical body. It seems there are many levels of existence in the afterlife.
I read that there are 7 levels and within each level is 7 levels.
The lower levels are just like the physical earth.
As you go up there is less attachment to the physical.
I got that, too, from reading "Life in the Unseen Word"
(or is it the World Unseen?) by Anthony Borgia....found online bec it is past it's 50 yr copyright...oh, and also,
the Messages to James E. Padgett ...also found online...messages from the Other Side around 1914 near Boston.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Yes but only if it's awake or an aware soul. As jurgen ziewe said in my post most people on this planet are not very conscious [just look around you] so they go to an earthlike plane where they don't realise they have these higher abilities [shapeshifting into a younger version etc]. lt takes time for them to wake up. And as he says, and l do believe this myself, most spiritualists and mediums are probably speaking about higher or mid-level astral worlds [summerland] where people are more conscious.

Actually, the soul worlds [called the psychic planes by some] are much higher than the astral or mental planes. lt's where mosts souls go to rest before they reincarnate here.

When I'm a ghost, I intend to make up some insanely huge number and say I'm that old. Much as I do now when talking to kids who can't comprehend an age as huge as 40.

It's my understanding there are literally countless planes of existence, each vibrating at it's own frequency. When we die we will match the plane we go to by our vibration and what we are expecting "heaven" to be (a twofold match). I am careful to not limit creation and the vastness of what's out there. I leave my mind open for limitless expansion. My mind is not the mind of the Creator (or Universe).

When I die, somehow I just don't want to go someplace that is spotless and perfect. I like my life a little messy. Horse dung, ice cream on my face, dust, rain and snow are just fine with me.

Well said.

2 things would be diff for me...the horse dung...and we do have the mind of
the Creator in us...what makes me say that is years ago when my Journey took a diff direction...as in,' Shazam! What?'
After I read these words...'but he who does boast, let him boast of this, that he knows and
understands me. So saith the Lord.' (Jer 9:23ish)

That was a show stopper for me.
We can know the Mind of the Creator...oh my, can we ever...and our mind can reach
and discover that our mind, purified, can and is the mind of God, also...as much as it is individualized.

Limitations, along with distractions are the enemy, oh yeah, be careful, sis,
don't be fooled by the temporal, mediocre thoughts of those around us!
Maybe I should have pm'd you to not take this away
from the topic of the age of spirits?

there is nothing wrong with rolling meadows and tall buildings. That's why your "world" will have just that

My miscarriage son appears to me as 4 years old. Since the day he was lost, he's been 4, and he remains that same "age" to this day.
