There are many realms in what we call "the afterlife," but right now at this very moment
your deeper, or higher, being, what some call "the soul," already exists in the afterlife realm.
You are experiencing this physical world from the spiritual realm, through a physical human body.

You are not your physical body nor are you your thoughts and feelings, you are something much
grander than those things. Human death is but a transition back to what we have always truly been.
We all know that human life is temporary but there is something within us that is permanent;
that something looks through our eyes, tastes food and drink, and uses all of the other senses a
human body may offer. We call that something "me," or "I."

Form a deep relationship with yourself and get to know that something now, while you are here on Earth.
Get to know your own soul, deeper being, or whatever you may want to call it. It is beyond words and
thoughts, but we can get to know it. It is at the core of our being; that which inhabits the body which we
call "me" or "I." "Know ThySelf" on every level is the best way to learn about the afterlife.
But this is just my opinion.

Opinions are different. But, I like ancient and eastern philosophy. By my opinion, are closest to reality. According to these teachings, it depends on the mind of man. Therefore for example adepts of ancient mysteries have evoked the gods to come between them. See for example Iamblichus: Theurgia or On the Mysteries of Egypt....

I do not believe in God, big G. I do, however, believe in consciousness. I believe that there is only the one consciousness that we can be aware of while we are 'here' and we are more fully immersed in when we are 'there'. This reality filters our experience and from that filter, we shape it, creating a personal - and global - 'matrix', 'holodeck', a cohesion of energies to further filter and create more.

Those who have left this filter behind still have a filter, of sorts, but the release and relax allows for a universal connection greater than most people can acheive while mired in this shared reality. I say there is a filter of sorts because I do believe that the fullness of this reality must play itself out sometimes before full release can take place, for example those with a vey defined expectation of life after death.

But I believe release does happen for all. However, even after they receive a full release, I believe the personality that was once expressed here is still accessible, although it is possible to access only that which once we knew, or the more full understanding/integrated aspect.

Death is really all about your human body; if you had not entered, and inhabited, a physical body, you would not have to experience death. Understand that you are not death, you are life, and when your physical body can no longer sustain life, you will leave and go back to a state similar to the one you had before entering a human body.

We are not strangers to what we call “the afterlife,” rather we are more of a stranger to our human state of being than we are to our state of being after human death. After human death, when you leave your physical body, most likely things will feel more familiar than they did when you were in a human body. You may feel more at home outside of your physical body than you did in your physical body.

Whatever has a beginning has an end, and a physical body has a beginning and an end, but you are not your physical body. You had no beginning and you will have no end. We have grown used to experiencing life through a physical body and we think life is living in a physical body, but life is much more than that. Understand the depths of life and you will understand human death. The only thing that freaks out over death is the ego, that which makes us individuals. The head wants to understand what the heart already knows.

But the head is like a sponge, the mind tries to suck up everything, while the heart is like a river, it flows. Probably better to go with that flow than to do all of that sucking. Your heart already knows about life and death, the knowledge came with you when you were born. I have found meditating on inner silence has bought me more intrinsic knowledge than 10-years of studying the subject of life at a university.

Be patient with yourself, no matter what, it is all relevant to the journey of you unfolding yourself, and coming to know that which you truly are below the surface. Human life is a gift but you have got to unwrap the package. Words are only representations and they will never actually be able to describe, or represent, the magnificence that we call “life.” Life contoniues after human death because you, that which you truly are, is life.
