If you love 'em set 'em free if they come back ...

they're yours if they don't they were never meant to be. Isn't this overrated? I mean they left you and sometimes for someone else and now they want to come back to you because they made a mistake and it didn't work out with the other one that they left you for ... crazy!

lol I guess it depends on the situation and person, I don't feel the quote is specifically regarding them going and being with someone else. And even in those situations it doesn't necessarily mean it didn't work out in the way you mean. I don't think it's specifically about partners either. I guess with all these things they are open to interpretation.

I like it myself.

I learned it from Harry and the Henderson's, but you can apply it to so many situations.

i think the quote means allowing the other personal space and the freedom to do whatever that person wants. pure love is about genuinely giving without expecting return. and when they come back to you, the love also grew in them. if not, it was never meant to be.

in your case.. i dunno. people mistake love for other things.
