admissioninfo,
Just thought I would tell this story that you may already know.

Vivekananda wanted to know God.
He went to the yogis, the gurus, around India with one question.
Each saw that he was an educated young man that was 'well off'.
They told him many things they could teach him wanting him as their student.
He would ask them again, ''But, have you seen God and can you show me God?"
The answer always came back , "No." So he moved on.
Until he was directed to Ramakrishna.
Who answered , "Yes''.

I tell this story because with any question...Who is a good mechanic or What dentist should I go to?....
Wisdom dictates to go to and listen to the one that knows and has experienced what it is you are inquiring about.
Otherwise, you find a dentist that someone has not experienced personally, but may have only read about....pure hearsay.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

God is yourself, me and everything you've ever thought about or sensed. He is everything; with infinite power, it's down to you to realise where God truly is but the answer you will find is that which I have just said. It's a great feeling when you go for a scenic walk and realise that your feet are treading on God and that you are God too. And that you will always be safe and on the right path to true contentment.

Try focusing at the 'single eye' or 3rd Eye area....within yourself.
That's where any of us can actually see God...it's a guarantee...
it's not figurative, it's not metaphorical...it is a fact.
Be still... [/b]

I'm not trying to be argumentative, but it sounded, to me, like you're saying the identical thing as all the threads before you ...

But it became a fact, because "the bible tells you so"? Reminds me of the children's song . .

Spirit in a box mentality, rather than boundless nature. My opinion:)

Yes..it did give that impression!

To clarify...when I said it was a fact...it was because of my personal experience.
It is always neat when one sees a master 2000 yrs ago has referenced it..
as in, "If thine eye be single thy whole body will be full of light', another example...and in many
other cultures and their scriptures and mystical poetry.
I could have easily referenced Guru Nanak, Hafiz, or Kabir.
Within us .. in the Third Eye region is where 'God' can be seen...
some may say Source or the Soul.
Jacob saw God face to face and then called that place Penuel or in different versions Peniel...
amazingly close to 'pinial' gland or 3rd eye!

Seems all those guys were seeing Light and God inside ...and hearing
the Inner Sound Current or the Tao, also called, The Word or Om/Aum.

God reminds me of a dimmer switch...there is light, but you
can also hear the light/frequency as it goes up and down with the switch.
And there is a 'Religion of Light and Sound'.
