We found a Hummingbird nest once in the spring
and it was like peering inside of a secret.
Here is a nice pic. of a nest if you've never seen one.

If you suffer from self hate can you understand /feel love and in return give it to others, from the experiences I've had by talking to people with these problems I don't think they can but as you said, everyone is different.

Why have countries like Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia that were predominately Buddhist, committed so many atrocities?

Because they are Buddhists by Culture but not by Nature

and is that not true of Christianity today?
Remember, love your neighbor as yourself, originally came from the Law.
If people had loved God with their whole heart, etc. and loved their neighbor as yourself, the basic, simple aspect of the Law would have been met. The only other facet of the Law would be to fulfill the Law.

Is this a possible flaw in Buddhism?
Does this explain the "Killing fields", etc.?

Christianity is blamed for things people who claim to be Christians do but are really not doing christian things.
Should not the same 'rule' apply to Buddhism?

no human is spared from satan, evil and wickedness are founds throughout the Earth. and can come out of EVERY religion. the religion itself, is not to blame but the individual. MANY speak of "loving thy neighbor." yet some show STRONG hatred towards "their neighbors", just because they don't agree with their Religion. I have said...I love you, to a few in these forums. even when some waged an all out attack towards me. they didn't respond in the same like manner, but that's fine. it doesn't hurt me, it just makes me sad for those who hold so much hatred. besides Jesus told us, when someone slap your cheek, turn and let them hit the other ,(Matthew 5:39). I would much rather bring Glory to Jesus and Jehovah God, by showing love. than to follow in satan's steps by NOT "loving my neighbor." peace

' No human '
no human is spared from satan, evil and wickedness are founds throughout the Earth.
