SAND or SALT divination

Abacomancy / Sand Magic / Sand Writing / Sand Divination / Alomancy

This is an almost forgotten method of divining. It is the divining of sand particles, dust or in the olden days a dead persons powdered remains. You also can do this with SALT but it is then called Alomancy.

All you need is a pendulum or a divining instrument and some sand or salt, dust etc. Colored play sand is great too for this. But it needs to be dry and grainy so it will leave good markings. Wet or damp sand won't move about so it won't work well.

You then pour a bunch of it in a container or on your table etc. But it needs to be three to four inches deep so a container works much better to contain the particles. If you are forunate enough to live at the ocean then a walk down to the beach is the greatest way to do it.

Then hold your pendulum of something that can dangle. Even a pencil with a string attached will work for this. It just needs to swing and move freely and easily and be able to glide through sand. A screwdriver tied to a string would even work. Hold it loosly so it has greater mobility.

Focus your intent, State your question as clearly as you can then close your eyes. Just let the pendulumn do it's thing. Let it swing and glide through the sand until it stops of its own acord.
Let it go at least a few minutes or until the energy flow feels like it is over.

Now open your eyes and see what symbols have been left in the sand.
There are a few methods to do this.. you can just do *Y* marks for yes and *N* marks for no or *P* can be perhaps later. Or you can apply symbology to all the symbols drawn you see. stars, moons, dogs, airplanes...dots an dashes etc.

Write down all the symbols you see. Then interpret them to apply to the question that was asked. This is another great method of using and strengthening the intuition, the connection to all that is and the learning of symbology.

at the past i did something nice with sand as well,
we all kind of left hands print in the sand and we read to one other from the hands print..
it is nothing like hand reading..as you don't really get to see lines and things like that..only what is left as a mark on the sand, was very amazing, true and interesting...


guess if you think about it, there are many things that can be used for reading??
