objective vs subjective

It seems like little miracles unfold everywhere I choose to look. But do I see them because I want to?
Or do they happen without my influence?

A plane soaring across the sky in the far distance.
You can’t really see it, but you know what it looks like up close. You can’t hear a thing, but you can imagine the sound of its engines.
You can’t see people but you know there’s probably some tourists aboard, heading for a tropical island.

There’s no experiences of the plane, only a tiny spec in a vast blue sky. Yet you’re able to perceive all these things and be pretty confident they exist.

What if I told you it was a UFO? You could probably imagine aliens. Or the wobbly hovering sound of an anti-gravity engine.
Or even an alien invasion and all its consequences. Though you would have no reason to believe these things are real, you can still imagine the experiences. Does that mean aliens exist?

While we percieve the same spec in the sky, we experience something completely different regarding that spec.

I like to believe we’re free to choose whatever we want to experience. By setting the right descriptions.

But in this way, is there room for real objectivity?

In my view, miracles unfold all the time however few of us really notice them.

Subjectivity is like our perception of an experience. I suspect that if we could suspend our beliefs enough, we could be objective.

something I thought of once, if I stand at a distance apart from everything, and look at everything that is happening with an open mind, that could be considered objective by the definition of the word. It is after all what scientists claim they do. However, it is still me, standing, looking, so in that sense even my objectivity is my experience of what is happening, in other words I still have a subjective relationship to these things I've kept myself apart from. I just 'call' it objective since I intend to be dispassionate and apart. But in doing so fool myself about the meanings of words.

Well, not much of what we perceive is objective (if anything is), because observer influences, what he or she looks at. We do not have to be "current truth" keepers, we are new reality creators.
Two people can live under similar conditions and one will be happy, and the other will be miserable. The one that is happy and has positive core beliefs will attract more and more of better conditions, and the other will attract the opposite, even though they started in the same place.

So objectivity could be based on a shared knowledge of what's real. The more people believe their own true ideas, the more likely it is to be taken as the truth.

It's funny to think that Einstein’s theory of general relativity is still incomplete. He just gave his best possible description of reality.
In a way, general relativity could just be seen as an extended subjective statement.
Einstein just convinced so many people it was true, it became objective.
Now thát's genius ... On the other hand, he could have us all fooled!

I'm curious how many people it takes to objectify my opinions. ;p

In my opinion nothing is objective because even those things we call "objective" we experience subjectively. There is a collective consciousness that has a similar experience of a so-called objective reality, and in this so-called objective reality the more people who agree on something the more that something is validated. Quantity does not validate quality yet many believe that "millions of people can't be wrong;" I disagree, millions, or even billions, of people can be wrong. That is if we want to linger in the duality of "right" and "wrong."
