Hiya spirit72
Have you tried ignoring her?
Cats can be incredibly vain and will do their utmost to get your attention. Especially if you show indifference. It's worth a shot.

That was a good suggestion, squatch. I read this earlier and couldn't think of what to say.
I was just thinking maybe she should wear catnip somewhere on her person at all times ~ heh.

You are trying to brush a kitten? No wonder she has issues with you...
Sit or lie down on the floor. Ignore the cat. Read a book. Give it half an hour. See what happens. Better, report it here :)

Ignoring is wise...no eye contact - or look like you are falling asleep when you do.
(I also have a 3 month old kitten I've had a week...she thinks my thyroid is her pillow...)
There is a book - ''How to Get Your Cat to Do Anything You Want It To"
Warren Eckstein
The BEST!!!!
After Chapter One you may see a change in her.
Good Luck - and cat treats are good, yes.
Speak to her sweetly and low, also.

Interesting. My cat insists on climbing onto my chest when I am in bed, then pushing her paws into my throat over and over until I get mad and push her away. That's the thyroid all right.

I'm lucky mine was not taken away from her mother too soon, so she doesn't do that kneading motion - and she never claws me even a little - she is so sweet and so is her mother.
She is a gray, tiger long hair - so I called her Blackie.
She is starting to bat my Chow mix's head and tries to smell her dish when she's eating- luckily my
doggy ignores her, but looks at me saying, "Whassup? Can't you do something?" telepathically.
I would stop her before you get mad with a firm, No, a
few times.
Note: it works well with men, also. (I mean people..)
