15 years ago the third largest recorded earthquake occurred. It was about 9.3. Almost 250,000 died.

I was first to donate blood.

Hard to believe it was 15 years ago. I remember that day better then yesterday. Then there was the call for large shoes, winter coats, etc.

I pray for those who perished and especially their surviving family members and for those who were injured.

A lot of people who perished, their bodies were never recovered. Whole villages disappeared.
