If things are really bad for me personally I might ask my Team to come in and energetically hold me, this is rare though as Higher Self can usually get me sorted back out again.

However if I'm doing Healing work, Counseling, Holding Space in someway with others I call in the whole team, Higher Selves of all parties, Angels, Guides and Benevolent Beings, Mother/Father/God/Source/Creator and Mother Earth/Gaia. If the person is of a Pagan Tradition I might call in the Tree Spirits, Fairy Kingdoms, Furry Kingdoms and Earth Elementals too.

If you question whether your mind is answering your questions or your Higher Self - you can ask for an answer in a dream instead and to be able to remember the dream - so something like "Please give me your answer in a dream and then make me had to get up and go to the bathroom immediately afterwards so I can remember the dream".
I've begun talking to my Higher Self for the reasons you mentioned.

God's responses to you are funny! But I understand that there are times when you'd like a little more from the Creator. This is akin to having an eternally-optimistic friend.

Ill describe my viewpoint on this:

The other, spiritual, realm is actually one/same as God. There are no separate entities.
The only difference between them is what has already been and what is being created (expansion).

The God is the highest entity which is and always been. Then there comes his Creations including your higher self, and Angels being there as messengers.

In Material world, Angels are closest to you in term that they can Act in cases of distress and emergency, when fear is preventing your Mind to think clearly.

In quieter times your Higher Self is the one which you can choose to have a conversation, as he and you are closest to each other.

And as all of them are the same kind, they are all of God, so it is actually your choice to which you want to choose for a conversation.

clearly, and as you are receiving it

ABRAHAM: Oh, indeed. The more the better. The more you are receiving, the
more you will trust.

QUESTION: Should I speak my questions out loud?

ABRAHAM: Indeed. For the benefit of those who are wanting it, let us talk
about the process for the opening of this passageway. Do not worry, if you are
not wanting it, you will not get it. It is not something that will be thrust upon you
if it is not something that you are wanting.

Now, as with all creation, want it and allow it and it is. Want it and allow it
and it is. And so, as you are wanting the opening of the passageway, you have
done most of it.

The allowing is what we are offering the process of meditation for. When we
use the label, "meditation," what we are meaning is this: Setting a time aside in
your physical world that you may quiet the physical so you may sense the inner.
And the process is one of just sitting quietly and being.

Now you say, "We are always being. How can we not be?" Well, when we say
"be," we mean, don't try to make anything else happen. Sit quietly, and don't
think of anything. Well, as soon as we say, "Don't think of anything," you think
of not thinking of anything. But what you must do is quiet your mind and a good
way is to focus upon something that does not require much conscious thought.

Something such as your breathing. As you will allow the air to go out and come
in, and as you will be aware of it, and as you will let your thoughts drift toward
that, very soon, perhaps even in the first sitting, you will find yourself with a sort
of tingling sensation. You will find yourself, perhaps, even numb. As you are
feeling that sensation of numbing, know that it is a signal to you, from your
Inner Being, that you have achieved the quieting of the physical so that you may
now sense the inner. As you are upon that plateau of numbness, as you think a
thought, it will go away, as you release the thought and quiet your mind, it (the
numbness) will come back, and as you are able to move up and down upon this,
soon you will get very good at being at that place, and once you are consistently
achieving that, you are in the state of allowing.

Now, as you are in the state of allowing, your work is done. Your Inner Being
will do the rest
.

And as you are feeling some tingling here and a sensation there, those
sensations are an indication to you that your Inner Being is working upon the
opening of your passageway, or aligning your Energies. And when you receive
movement, you are open.

Now, once you are open, it is not necessary that you sit in a state of
meditation to receive. Once you are open, you may receive, any time you are
wanting, by setting forth the intent, "I intend to receive," you see?

The meditation is a process for opening the passageway. Beyond that, we are
not seeing it as important, unless you are using it for other things
.

Ask your Heart... it will always lead you into the wilderness of your True Nature (you may call it higher self if it pleases you)

Try asking your guides for advice and to send the message in a way you will understand. If you're not sure if you can "hear" them then ask for it to come in a dream. Or you could ask for signs but be sure to pay attention because signs can be very subtle. It could be on a billboard you drive by or in a passing conversation you overhear. Maybe even a TV commercial.

Since no one receives messages the same way, the key is to be specific when asking. So adding "in a way I can understand" will help the message come through clearer.

To my understanding the higher self is part of ourselves, the link to spirit which is outside of ourselves, our guides, protectors, teachers and family in spirit all serving the one source or God. I don't think it would make any difference which benevolent force we tapped into or who we connected with as the answers would be the same unless they were family members with opinions.

Nothing can use us as a channel without our permission and we wouldn't want to channel just anyone or thing so it's wise to focus on tapping into an angel, saint, personal spirit guide or simply God depending on your faith and belief system but it takes a long time usually.

Sounds like you haven't developed the necessary sensory awareness to perceive psychic info as yet and a much quicker route than just meditating is to get attuned to Reiki which will raise your vibration closer to where spiritual energies lie, another way is join a group meditation. Tarot cards are a great go between until you learn to perceive without them but they'll also teach you symbolism which is the language of spirit. Get yourself some telepathy cards and a partner, do some dream work, work on integrity and it will come together if you're determined, have fun.

Thank you! I've felt tingling throughout my body while meditating, as you described, but I didn't know what it was. Thank you for letting me know--and for the wonderful advice.
