Another author you might draw comfort from is John Edwards. I don't know if you have ever seen his show "Crossing Over" but he is a psychic medium that connects people with their loved ones on the other side. I used to have one of his books. I have no idea what happened to it and I thought he was incredible. The real deal. I have a friend and the 22nd of December marks 2 years that her mother has been deceased. As you can imagine, the holidays are extremely difficult for her. She asked me and 2 of her other friends if we would be willing to go with her to a restauraunt and then to her mom's memorial at a hospital......where she goes to just talk to her mom and cry and stuff. This is something she chose to do every year and she doesn't want to go alone. Her father and brother have turned their backs on her so she doesn't really have any family she can lean on. Just us. I WILL be there for her on the 22nd. If I can't get the day off, I'll be switching schedules with someone. I got her a christmas present already but was at Barnes and Noble the other day looking for a gift for someone else when I tripped over John Edward's books. I don't know if she's much of a reader, but I am a firm believer that that book will bring her comfort because its about how those we love are never truly gone. Maybe you can benefit from his books as well. Or at least see if you can find his show.

Bella... This is what I want to say to you...
You feel you failed your friend, whether you really did or had no choice can't be known.
But don't fail her and yourself now, by staying in pain and guilt.
Forgive yourself and her, and go for the love that is still between you.
