Tip for effective automatic/channeled writing?

Does anyone have any tips on how to do channeled writing? I have done what it says to do on the internet such as asking for your angels, guardian angels to come join you and also ask for protection and to give them permission to use your hand as a channeling outlet to write with. I then protect myself with white light and write a question (what is their name) on the sheet of paper, lay th tip of the pen on the paper. But nothing happens. I really want to get this to work. Does anyone have any tips on this? Thanks!

Stop trying so hard, relax and write the first word that enters your mind. Hopefully you will get another word and so on..... don't try to predict the word let it be spontaneous. Don't expect spirit to control your hand, they work at their pace not yours, good luck

The most effective method of channeling is getting into a proper flow.

In order to do that, I suggest starting with your own thoughts on the question/topic and then writing down everything that comes to mind afterward. If you're asking this of a specific entity, make sure you invoke this entity beforehand. If you do this right, you will probably find that after some time, your thoughts don't seem so much like "your own," and you won't have to just sit around and wait for information to come to you.

Yes, it may be "all you" the first several times, but that's perfectly okay. This is just to give yourself a starting point that will bridge you to a proper, focused, flowing state.

Thanks guys I tried again tonight, and I do think it was me that was putting words in my head, since I read so much on metaphysics ( I work at a library, always reading material) I wrote down what I felt which was "live in now, dont sweat the small stuff, love, live, love understand" alot better than nothing, which I was experiencing. I took your advice to just put whatever I felt and not try so hard. I guess thats a starting point...us humans, always i n a rush! Thank you! I am always so grateful for your help, since I know a lot of newbies ask the same questions.

You may be channeling and not even realize it yet. Try writing down some questions to issues that concern you, and address it to either your guide or your higher self. Set clear intentions for what is is you are seeking. Make every attempt to be as clear as you possibly can. Poorly phrased questions can slow down the process.

As you fill in the meat a bit, you may discover that you can answer your own questions! Sometimes this will happen almost right away, and sometimes you have to put it away and come back to it again later. If the answers you receive seem profound and complete, then you have suceeded in connecting.

The more of this that you do, the more sensitive you will become to that altered state feeling while writing. Sometimes I write longhand, but most of the time I just use the computer keyboard with equal success.

Getting into the flow is important. When it happens, you will feel your desire to write amping up. If you get an impulse to head for the computer, or your writing tablet, by all means do it right away!

Concern yourself less with the who that you that are connecting with, and more with the knowingness that you will in fact be successful.

Sounds like you are off to a good start. I found several books along the way - one, Seth Speaks, which opened me up metaphysically (that's what it felt like) and Opening to Channel, by Sanaya Roman, which helped me with the getting into the channeling space, as it is a reaching up higher with your consciousness.

Have fun with it, and don't stress it. It is supposed to be fun, so make sure you allow that in as well :)

I'll second the recommendation on the book - Seth Speaks.

It is one of my favorite spiritual books, and I have read countless numbers of them.

I would also recommend the book - Opening to Channel, by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packard. These two by the way, also channel some of my absolute favorite non-physical teachers - Orin and DaBen. There is a wealth of information available on their web site. Just do a google search for Orin & DaBen, and it will pop right up.
