Spells do not need to be spoken nor with exact wording?

Catholicism states that happiness (God) guides us,
And is more important than religion or supernatural experiences.

Do pagans believe that happiness guides them,
And is more important than religion or supernatural experiences?

The reason for this is...

Quote:
"Yet these locutions do not always remove repugnance and difficulty, rather they sometimes augment it. God does this for the further instruction, humility, and good of the soul. God more frequently allows this repugnance when he orders something pertinent to a prelacy or to some other factor that will bring honor to the soul. And in matters of humility and lowliness He imparts more facility and readiness. We read in Exodus that when God ordered Moses to go to Pharao and obtain liberation for the people, Moses felt such repulsion that God had to command him three times and show him signs; yet none of this was of any avail, until God gave him Aaron to share in the honor (Exodus 3:10-22; 4:1-18)."

Ascent of Mount Carmel, Book 2, Chapter 30, Section 3
Locutions can make us initially unhappy to help us live according to happiness,
Or initially happy, and make us not live according to happiness.
(Humanity has a history of being unhappy, but
Happiness can never be unhappy.)

In Catholicism,
God is more important than religion.
This does not mean religion is not important,
But religion lacking God (happiness, love) is a religion lacking in happiness and love.

"Spells do not need to be spoken nor with exact wording?"

The key factors are Intent and Focus. Spoken words are just a manifestation of those.

I'd say, mostly no. The only time wording would be important would be with heka, the ancient Egyptian concept of magic. But that's mostly due to the fact that the Egyptians viewed words and writing as being magical in and of themselves.

they are different as far i see it, because with wiccan magik anyway you have the rite to follow therefore most will only perform magik when it's needed, but with prayer people ask for things for there own gain regardless of how it affects others, this is only the way i veiw it.
