I use 140 lb cold pressed water color paper and most of my paintings are 18x24 inches. I wet the paper with a lot of water without taping the paper down. Then I add color and cover it up with plastic wrap and let it dry over night. The next morning I take the wrap off and go with a fine point permanent marker over the lines that stand out to me. I sometime go back in and enhance the painting by adding more color to give it more contrast. I sit sometimes for hours and days on a painting and really never know how it will turn out in the end.

What I love abut this technic is that I am not in control of where the color moves to and how it mixes with another color. The part of going over with the marker is like meditation. I enjoy looking at the end result as I always see something new and following the lines is like a mantra.

I like that Title a lot but it titled it "Son Sets". I gave this one to a friend for her Birthday. Please do suggest titles when they come to you...I am not very good at it.
