It's true, there isn't actually any 'death' -only the physical form is cast aside because it stops working.
There is only a change of vibrational rate. Going onto another 'wavelength'. It really is no more mysterious than the fact that there are already lots of different vibrational rates all going on right now in the same space you are in....radio frequencies....phone signals.....light and sound at ends of the spectrum invisible to human sight and hearing.

That's the only reason we seem to 'disappear' at all from physical view and perception. It's only a vibrational shift basically.
