Makes sense in a way - what goes in the mouth ends up on the waist.
Not sure why this is - perhaps it's got to do with energy lines and chakras being related?

If you look on a chakra chart. On the Yin side and at the lumbar plexis. It says that this part of a chakra deals with taste, sensations of feeling and feelings food,sex, appetite. |
