Jack Horkheimer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkJheh1XcAQ
Listening to Claude Debussy's CD, "Greatest Hits!".
I first heard his Arabesque #1 on the midnight program, "StarHustler", on PBS, after moving to a, "Dark Sky", area.
Affiliated with the Miami Space Museum.
In a 5 minute spot Jack Horkheimer came on to explain what was going on overhead at any time, in the dark night skies. I was captured by the, "Whistle", version of Arabesque #1, and haven't really found another version that is as hauntingly beautiful.
Today, they've changed the show's name to, "StarGazer", and, have a couple of "normal" young people presenting it, but, it lacks the unique enthusiasm that Jack's personna had brought to it.
The above is a segment from 1991.
The show's name was changed while Jack was still presiding.
I hadn't known that Jack had passed on in 2010.
