Fear of things will bring us closer
To learn and grow as to what part of us
Panics, protects, wards off and away
The spiders message is upon me today...

I never seek to harm or kill
Little creatures, large and small
I do my best to let be, not fall
For every step I walk, this earth
I may not know what harm I cause


In care, I can walk,
With a willingness to grow
To learn and listen
Observe each flow

Dismissal and avoidance
In our rush or no care
Often omits to take notice
Of all life that stares

Into our view
At times oblivious to us
Simply being itself
We in our rush

To escape what is around us
Fully revealing this land
How we each come together
In the greater life plan

Nature as us
Nature in the wild
Both come together
Both cannot be filed

As something seperate
Something bad
Something wrong
Or something amiss
All life together
Forms this creative gift

Where each piece of the whole
As nature in us
Becomes a lived life awareness
An interconnected love

Of self and of life
Where fear has no game
The spider who bit me
Has no name

He simply as a spider
With his tail of the light
His body in darkness
He shows me my plight

When attacks to protect
As our worlds came to meet
I have to realize my part
As I made him weak

I sourced my protection
In this immediate response
To protect the site he delivered
His poisonous wand

All hell breaks loose in a moment where two
Forge a way to escape the merging of no clue
Could be seen of each
Yet the swipe caused the pain

Both within and without
Both fighting to lay claim
That each deserved a right
To survive, and take aim

To protect itself
From the wrath of a bite
And he the little spider
Death at the sight
Of my hand that swiped him
In the hidden little den
He had made in my jumper
Oh what fun was there then

Unaware of his presence
Till he unleashed his wrath
His poisonous protection
To stop me from attack

As I suffer the fallout
Of this blistering inner test
I’m unaware if I killed him
As I scratched through this mess

I am aware of his torture
I am aware, don’t mess with him!
No longer will I be unaware
Of what moves close to my skin!

We kill to protect
To survive when those wounds
Feel so damn painful
We often stay groomed
In protection, on the lookout
To be ready to take aim

One little small spider opening my eyes to this game!

Nature in all its colours
Nature in all its delights
Hides within its beauty
Ferocious savage fights
Traumatic great carnage

Endings so inflamed

Beginnings at times
Where you and your name
Blend into this holocaust
As nothing but your place

In the time and the meeting
Where war comes face to face.
